About Pet Center

Meet Romeo & Juliet, our Pet Center Residents.

Pet Center is a boarding and grooming facility for small animals. It is located directly beside Sifferlin Animal Clinic. It was established in 1993 and is owned and operated by Dr. Sally Sifferlin. 
The staff is knowledgeable, caring and dedicated. They are committed to the happiness and well being of each pet, and they look forward to seeing your pets on a reoccurring basis!

Shari conaway

Shari started working at the Pet Center in 1995 as a Kennel Technician. In 2000, Shari became our full-time Groomer. She works endlessly and is fully dedicated to her clients, their pets, and her profession. Shari is loved by her clients and their pets!

Kelssi Wilson & Lesley Kopp

Kelssi began working at the Pet Center in 2015, and Lesley began in 2008. This dynamic duo works just about everywhere in the facility, but their main jobs are receptionists/assistant managers and “holding the fort down.” Both go above and beyond in their dedication to the Pet Center, the clients, and all the pets! Each day they give it their all!

Melissa Weaver

Melissa began bathing for the Pet Center in 2017. She also helps beautify every grooming pet. Without her our grooming process wouldn’t run as smoothly or efficiently.

Stephanie Sifferlin

Stephanie began working at the Pet Center in 2015. She is the Pet Center’s Manager, and she is also an Intervention Specialist for the East Central Ohio Education Service Center.

Anna Bilardo, Kennedy Hale, Katie McConnell

Anna, Kennedy and Katie are our kennel technicians, our back crew who spend hours upon hours with our pets making sure their stay at the Pet Center is enjoyable, comfortable and a good experience. 

Sue Sifferlin

Sue Sifferlin started at the Pet Center in 1993, doing a variety of jobs through the years. Now she is our seasonal/holiday decorator! Sue was also instrumental in the establishment of Sifferlin Animal Clinic.

FAQs?

What vaccines are needed for my pet at the Pet Center?

For grooming, all dogs and cats are required to be current on the rabies vaccine. For boarding dogs, the rabies, distemper combo, and kennel cough vaccines are required. For boarding cats, the rabies and distemper vaccines are required.

Do I need to bring my own food while my pet is boarding?

Yes, especially if your pet is on a special or prescribed diet. If you do not, we provide Science Diet food. We also offer snack time, which is seasonal and can be up to 2 times a day.

Do I need to bring bedding for my pet for boarding?

We provide bedding, but bedding from home may help your pet because of familiarity. We also provide steel pans, please bring your own if necessary.

How far in advance do I need to make an appointment?

For grooming ASAP, there may be up to a 6 week wait for a small dog and 8 week wait for a large dog, so as soon as you get a new pet, call us. For boarding, during the peak times (holidays, and all summer weekends) please call us at least 2-3 weeks in advance, for the other times please call us 4-6 days in advance.

For boarding what are the sizes of kennels?

Cat kennels are 5ft x 2 ft. Playtime is available and lasts 1-3 hrs long and allows full room access. Also individual attention is available 1 time a day. 
Dog – small kennels are 10ft x 3ft. Regular kennels are 10ft x 4ft. Extra-large kennels are 10ft x 6ft. 
Dogs: Exercises are 15-30 min, are unleashed and unsupervised (weather dependent) and can be done up to 3 times a day. Playtimes are 10-15 min of individualized attention with kennel technician 1 time a day. 

Can I pick up or drop off my pet for boarding on Sunday?

Yes at 7pm during Daylight Savings Time, and 5pm during Standard Time. (Prior arrangements need to be made).
